The School Ski Trip left on Friday 10th Feb 2006 for the long coach trip over to
the ski resort of Livigno, on the Italian/Swiss border. Once in the resort, everyone
sorted equipment for the first day of skiing/boarding on Sunday. On that day the weather
was superb, in fact there were clear blue skies for the first four days! Everyone enjoyed
skiing and boarding on the excellent slopes, the long and wide runs suited the more
advanced and beginners alike. Evening activities included ten pin bowling, tubing, ice
skating and a disco, although some were too tired to attend; those who went enjoyed
the experiences. On the third day the group switched over to the other side of the
valley to try some different slopes, again everyone seemed to enjoy the new challenge.
The last two days had fresh snow, which meant great off-piste; especially for the
snowboarders. After an excellent, yet exhausting week the group left for home; and
the 34 hour journey back to school!
