Normandy 2008

Normandy 2008

42 Year 9 pupils went to Château Beaumont in Normandy in March. They were armed with a workbook which they completed during their visits.

We stayed in a gîte near the château which was really confortable. Every day we participated in different activities. We visited a goat cheese farm, Mont Saint Michel and the walled town of Saint Malo. Evening activities were very entertaining especially the teachers blind date and the talent show.

All of the pupils had a wonderful time and some of the feedback included "I liked the shopping, blind date and aeroball", "Mont Saint Michel was fascinating" and "I enjoyed talking French to people in Saint Malo". I was really impressed with the pupils’ behaviour and their willingness to try the language and to try 'typical' French dishes including snails and frogs legs.

Bon..jour and Au..révoir
