Seasons on Saturn in 3D

These images of Saturn were taken over a five year period up until October 2000.   Just like the Earth, the axis of Saturn is at angle to its orbit.   The Earth takes a year to orbit the Sun and during that time it points its Northern hemisphere and then its Southern hemisphere toward our Star.   Saturn takes 26 Earth years to orbit the Sun.   During that time we can see its passing seasons as it tilts its rings up and down.    These different views give an opportunity to create 3D views of the planet.   Click the buttons below to get the individual images

Now let’s use these images to find out about Saturn’s orbit.
